It’s Mothers day this Sunday so time to celebrate and honour your wonderful mum’s for all they have done for you. A day out is a great way to bond and create some lovely heart warming experiences and there is nothing more a mother loves more than spending time with her child or children. Here are some of our top suggestions of fun things to do on Mother's Day:
Who doesn’t love afternoon tea? Of course it’s up there with our favourite things to do and with so many diverse afternoon tea's to choose from in London, there’s something to suit everyone. For something traditional why not try the Marie Antoinette Afternoon Tea at Pont St, Belgraves or if you’re looking for something with a twist, we love the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson.
Why not visit an art gallery or an exhibition. If your mum is as crazy about fashion as ours is, we would highly recommend checking out Vogue 100: A Century Of Style at the National Portrait Gallery. However if your mum is not much of a fashionista then why not head down to the Royal Academy of Arts and take a look at ‘Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse’.
Rather than buying your mum flowers, why not take her to the Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens? Mother’s day is the last day to attend this event and this time the theme is a colourful carnival theme which we of course love.
Gone through all your Bubbles & Tea goodies? Why not treat your mum to a spa day. You could even combine this with afternoon tea. We found the Spa Retreat and Afternoon Tea for two on Virgin Experience Days to be fantastic.
