After having collaborated a short while back, we recently had the pleasure of catching up with green haired beauty Sophie Hannah Richardson. Sophie is a London based fashion and beauty blogger with a unique style. We love her blog for it's vibrancy and her fun interpretation of fashion and beauty trends. Highly inspirational, if you haven't come across Sophie's blog before we certainly recommend you check it out. In the meantime read our interview to find out what inspires Sophie.
So tell us, what inspired you to start blogging?
I've always had a love for standing out from the crowd when it comes to my style. I've always had such a passion for fashion and beauty and I love how it's developed into a blog and sharing it with everyone. One of my best friends actually inspired me when they showed me what other Bloggers were getting up to on Instagram and I thought, you know what I could do that.
What does your typical day consist of?
I actually work full time as a Social Media Manager, so the majority of my day is taken up doing that and in every bit of spare time I have I blog.
What are your on the go beauty must haves?
I need to carry at least a few shades of lipstick. Always a nude for during the day, but if I'm going out after work or to an event I always like to add a bit of colour.
And then the most obvious DO for BO and perfume! A girls gotta smell nice eh!
Bath or shower?
I am a fan of a bath, but I never have time! So shower it is!
What do you like to do when you aren’t blogging?
As sad as it is I don't tend to give myself much me time, but when I do, I love to chill out in front of the TV catching up with one of my fave TV shows, going out for dinner and drinks or to the cinema.
If you were stuck on a dessert island and you could only have one beauty product what would it be?
This has to be concealer. I have a few flaws that I'm conscious about so I couldn't live without that.
What do you think the most important thing is when writing a blog?
I don't tend to focus much on writing a blog as people don't tend to read much anymore. Everyone is more interested in watching a video or seeing a photo, so for my blog posts I make sure there's lots of engaging imagery.
Revive, Stimulate or Restore? Which of these ranges appeals to you most?
This has to be restore and I'm a sucker for strawberry flavoured products!
We love your style has it always been a bit edgy?
Yes, I think it actually has. As I said I like to stand out and so I always try to give my looks a bit of an edge and make them my own.
Are you inspired by other bloggers? If so who?
There's a few Blogger babes that I always have to catch up on their latest looks: Charlotte Hole from CH32, Amelia Breading from Heart Shaped Rose and Ellen Atlanta – they've got very cool styles.
What advice would you give to aspiring bloggers?
Be yourself and just go with it.
Do you have a beauty ritual?
I always have to put my Nivea moisturiser on before I do my makeup.
What are your favourite beauty trends for SS16
I'm excited that blue makeup is a trend as that's my thing!
Where is your favourite place to shop?
This has probably got to be ASOS as everything is there! Convenient for my busy lifestyle.
